- You just bought Microsoft Flight Simulator or Electronic
Art's ATF or maybe a good strategy game. You open the box and
look through the overwhelming manual and short cut card. Now
your ready to play! You take off, you climb out, gear up, flaps
up! Whoops you pressed the wrong key for the landing gear (it's
G not U) and was it the F4 or F5 key for flaps? Now I remember...
OK back with it now, time to change radio frequencies, hmmmmm
...let me see, was it the V + 1 key, or the C + 1 key? Oh no!
dropped the manual and lost control of my craft. Frustrating,
lets get real, nobody wants to remember all those keyboard combinations.
Let PAL do it for you by storing the most commonly used key combinations
with a beautiful rendering of that function. For example the
landing gear knob looks like a real landing gear knob and the
flap switch looks authentic as well. No more guessing about what
key to press!
- Here's how it works:
-
- Connecting PAL is easy. PAL is a special keyboard
that plugs in-between your keyboard and your computer. It's a
quick cable swap: just unplug your keyboard, plug PAL in its
place, then plug your keyboard into PAL. No batteries or external
power are required.
-
- Using PAL is a snap. You simply select an overlay
for the program you are about to use. The overlay is then placed
over the 96 key programmable membrane keyboard. You then download
a macro to the keyboard for the game you have selected. The overlay's
stunning graphics will give you most of the key functions needed
to get you immediately into the game. Imagine jumping right into
your favorite game without hassling with manuals or quick reference
cards. Precision Flight Controls is developing overlays for many
of your favorite games.
